Orthognathic and maxillofacial surgery has seen remarkable advancements in recent years, owing much to the integration of 3D printing and virtual surgical planning (VSP) technologies. This research article explores the transformative frontiers facilitated by these technologies in the field of orthognathic and maxillofacial surgery. Through a comprehensive review of the literature, this paper elucidates the evolution, applications, benefits, and challenges of 3D printing and VSP in surgical planning, patient-specific implant fabrication, education, and training.
