Abstract
The choice of discipline among secondary-level students is a pivotal decision that shapes their academic and professional trajectories. This paper presents an analytical investigation into the multifaceted factors influencing students' selection of disciplines, drawing insights from various determinants including societal expectations, parental influence, teacher guidance, socioeconomic status, personal interests, peer pressure, career aspirations, regional and cultural factors, academic performance, and assessment. Through an examination of data and trends, it becomes evident that disparities exist in discipline choices across regions and socioeconomic backgrounds, underscoring the need for equitable access to resources and opportunities.
