Brexit – ¿Quo Vadis?

espanolEn el referendum del 23 de junio de 2016, los ciudadanos del Reino Unido manifiestan la decision de retirarse de la Union Europea con un 51,89 % de los votantes despues de 44 anos de permanencia. La entonces Primera Ministra Theresa May llevo esta decision ciudadana a la activacion del art. 50 TUE. Con su declaracion, a contar del 29 de marzo de 2017 comienza el proceso de negociacion para la salida de la Union Europea y para un nuevo acuerdo despues del Brexit. En este contexto, el presente articulo quiere contribuir al debate del futuro de la Union Europea, describiendo el proceso actual, analizando los resultados y las consecuencias, tanto para el Reino Unido, como para la Union Europea. EnglishThe referendum of the 23th June 2016 shows people’s decision for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union with 51,89 % of the votes after 44 years of membership. The former Prime Minister Theresa May transformed that people’s decision into action of Art. 50 TEU. With her declaration from the 29th March 2017 starts the negotiation to leave the European Union and to have a new trade instead after the Brexit. In this context this article wants to contribute to the debate about the future of the European Union describing the actual process of negotiations, analyzing the results and the consequences for the United Kingdom and the European Union.
