There were positive correlations between the phenolic content and antioxidant capacity for all species analyzed, highlighting to P. vitifolia and P. pittieri which exhibited the highest values for all the determined parameters. Abstract

ABSTRACT Methanolic extracts were prepared from aerial biomass of wild populations of Passiflora coriacea, P. capsularis, P. magdalenae, P. smithii, P. vitifolia, and P. pittieri and evaluated for total phenols, tannins, and flavonoids.
