It covers the advantages and shortcomings faced by teachers and students in implementing task-based instruction particularly in teaching speaking skill. This study employs a qualitative approach by using a case study design. This study was initiated in one of senior high school in Kuningan covering one class of eleventh grade students. The data were obtained through interview and questionnaires. The findings showed that task-based instruction result in several advantages and shortcomings. It was found that task-based instruction enables students to be more active in teaching and learning process and it was also proven to enhance students� speaking skill. Meanwhile, there were also some shortcomings identified in this study i.e. teacher�s ability, time availability, and different students� proficiency level. Abstract

任务型教学在英语口语教学中的实施

本研究旨在探讨任务型教学法在英语口语教学中的运用。它涵盖了教师和学生在实施任务型教学，特别是在口语技能教学中所面临的优势和不足。本研究采用个案研究设计的定性方法。本研究以昆宁安县某高中为研究对象，研究对象为高二一个班的学生。数据通过访谈和问卷调查获得。研究结果表明，任务型教学既有优势也有不足。研究发现，任务型教学使学生在教学和学习过程中更加积极主动，也被证明可以提高学生的口语技能。同时，本研究也发现了一些不足之处，即教师的能力、时间的可用性以及不同学生的熟练程度。因此，建议在一个特定的课堂中，根据不同学生的能力，在很长一段时间内，以非常适当的方式实施任务型教学。关键词:任务型教学;教学口语技巧;任务型教学的优缺点。
