The geometrical and mechanical characteristics are based on beams tested in previous studies. The non-linear behaviour of steel-concrete materials is considered and the interaction between the different surfaces is taken into account. The deflection and slip results at the interface of slab and steel sections showed good agreement with experimental and analytical results. The maximum load value is close to that obtained by a plastic analysis of the composite section according to the Eurocode (1994) rules, with a relative deviation of 10%.
