The objective of this work was to analyze the importance of the Pibid in the initial formation of the graduates of the biology course of the Federal University of Piaui (UFPI), in the Petronio Portela, Teresina campus. To that end, a questionnaire containing six questions was applied to 36 scholars from Pibid, and the analysis of the results showed that this Program has awakened in these students a greater interest in teaching, in addition, they feel more prepared to act in teaching. Abstract
The creation of public policies to encourage teaching, as is the case of Pibid, has sought to improve initial teacher training and encourage graduates to pursue a teaching career.
