Abstract
The system chose the Visualization Toolkit and Visual C++ as the development platform. The coronal section and the sagittal section were reconstructed through the crosssection of patients thoracic computed tomography (CT). Analyzing of these slices, the doctor can discover the position of tumors. And then the three-dimensional (3-D) reconstruction of the chest and the tumors can be reconstructed by the volume rendering Ray-Casting method. The position of incision surgery can be located by the position of tumors, which would help the doctor analysis and view tumors and 3-D reconstruction of the chest from any angle through graphical visual interfaces in the computer. The surgical injury could be minimized.
