The result of the research has shown the effectiveness of the using English as a lingua franca in the educational process; such practices have received positive feedback on the part of the participants of the educational process. Along with this, the evolution of English as a lingua franca in convergence has been revealed, as well as in the communication process of the participants of the educational process. Abstract

The present research considers the thesis about the determining role of English as a lingua franca. The purpose of the academic paper lies in establishing the features of teaching English as a lingua franca in educational university practices, as well as determining the mediation level of the Ukrainian educational environment in communication in English. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive approach, where a descriptive method is used to describe the theoretical material; statistical methods and the questionnaire method are used for implementation, processing and analysis of research results. The central place is devoted to the pedagogical experiment.
