Abstract
Frequency-dependent expressions are obtained for the major types of bimodal cavity unbalancing that can arise from imperfections. These expressions are used to devise a procedure for achieving balance over a wide band of frequencies. Details of the systematic adjustment of an array of balancing probes are given and typical results for an X-band square-section cavity are presented.
