Abstract

Existing research into computational methods to optimize material usage in timber building structures often results in highly differentiated structures and individualized members, which have less potential for dis- and reassembly in a circular economy. This research proposes and uses a novel synergetic optimization software that integrates various criteria, including structural design, manufacturing, and space planning.
