An adsorption method of separation of native oil from Garbi Absheron field with KSM brand silicagel was applied to study the group hydrocarbon content. Methane-naphthene and separate groups of aromatic hydrocarbons, asphaltene-resin compounds have been obtained. It was established that this oil consists of 42.40 % saturated (methane-naphtene), 44.46 % aromatic hydrocarbons and 13.14 % asphaltene-resin compounds. The structural group content of the fractions obtained has been studied via the spectral (IR and UV) methods. Abstract
