In first world ountries, education programs that take into consideration interprofessional education are being developed; this will allow professionals to acquire collaborative practices. Interprofessionalism is the process by which professionals reflect and develop prac tices that provide an integrated and coherent response to the needs of the patient, family and society. Undoubtedly, this educational approach is a proposal that requires the integration of efficient work teams focused to provide safe and efficient care to the patients and their families.
