Abstract
Many billions of documents are stored in the Portable Document Format (PDF). These documents contain a wealth of information and yet PDF is often seen as an inaccessible format and, for that reason, often gets a very bad press. In this tutorial, we get under the hood of PDF and analyze the poor practices that cause PDF files to be inaccessible.
