The key issue in this regard is the concrete resistance against erosion which is related to water/ cement ratio and the crystalline formation of the particles in concrete. The experimental program of this study was based on preparing specimens of three mixes of RCC with different water/ cementitious ratio and one mix of conventional concrete. An instrument was manufactured for exposing the specimens to different water pressure, different types of water, different angles of projections and different time intervals. The total erosion was measured, studied and analyzed. Abstract

Nowadays, due to development of hydraulic structures such as dams, the durability issue of concrete is very important parameter of hydraulic structures. Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) is new technology gaining popularity in the recent years due to its low cost, rapid construction, and using opportunity of by-products.
