Abstract

The coding-controlled phased array radar built the bridge between digital codes and physically metamaterial particle, which works in microwave frequency band. The links and differences will be discussed between this new radar and traditional phased array radar, then the mathematical theory illustrates how the direction (including elevation and azimuth) is controlled by coding combination. Metasurface antenna can also achieve good performance of target detection based on beam-scanning.
