Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to perform the CFD analysis in the VCR system which is taken in the combination of Methanol and Diesel in the combustion chamber. Alcohol beverages like methanol are used to reduce the emission of soot. The alcoholic fuels have good combustion and emission characteristics. When the combination of diesel and methanol in the combustion chamber are applied they reduce the time taken for the combustion process. The thermal efficiency provided is high than with only diesel.
