Abstract

Computer simulations have shown that concanavalin A lectin is a relevant model of macrophage mannose receptors. Optimal parameters of modification of the drug carrier β-cyclodextrin were determined: a high degree of mannosylation (it is enough to use simple mannose) - from 60%, the presence of spacers. Such molecules form a strong complex with the concanavalin receptor: Kd from 0.8 to 2.2 μM.
