Abstract

: The article offers an account of Raquel Tibol’s art criticism in the context of Latin American narratives during the 1960s and 1970s. The study examines the political and aesthetic shifts, the tensions between form and content, and the importance of the political in the visual interpretations of the period. The aim is to place Raquel Tibol’s art criticism in dialogue with her contemporar-ies in light of the emergence of the new Latin American left in order to determine the discursive nuances that emerged between theory and practice
