Abstract

In 1948, Nakahara and Fukuoka15) first isolated toxohormone from a tumor as a factor depressing liver catalase. Subsequently, it was reported that injection of the toxohormone fraction caused thymus involution,6) anemia,6,7,11) depression of liver tryptophan pyrrolase,10) DPN synthetase,18,20) and the plasma iron level14) as well as reduction of liver catalase activity.
