Recently, there has been a trend towards using direct heat perms because they are time-saving, shorter in duration, and less complicated. However, as the damage to hair caused by direct perms increases, this study compares and analyzes the degree of damage to hair fibers caused by both direct heat perms and softening heat perms. Abstract
