Abstract

Currently, in the main manufacturers of aircraft or components used in fuel tanks and systems, development tests are carried out entirely with the fuel fluid itself, that is, aviation kerosene (QAV1), whose flash point is 38°C, characteristic of highly flammable fluids. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of using a fluid with a high flash point, around 90°C or more, allowing a significant reduction in costs and risks, since the treatment of electrical installations in these environments can be considerably delayed and, mainly, the occupational risk of employees involved in the activity, eliminated.
