Abstract

The Electronic Stability Control System (ESC) works through regulating the engine torque and the wheel brake pressure using traction control components to minimize the differences between the actual motion and the desired motion. The Adaptive Cruise Control System (ACC) is an active security technology. According to the previously setting parameters, by tracing the speed of preceding vehicle, ACC can adjust the traveling speed in order to maintain a security distance between an ACC-equipped vehicle and a preceding vehicle (vehicle pitch).
