В предлагаемой статье внимание читателя направляется на два пути спасения и христианских добродетели — девства и брака. Автор подробно освещает учение о превосходстве девства над браком и приходит к выводу, что отцы Церкви, давая нравственно-религиозную оценку девства и брака, имели в виду не само девственное или брачное состояние, а те условия и средства, которыми человек располагает при достижении духовного совершенства.
