Abstract

This paper presents the design and optimization of a class of flexible, high efficiency, multiple output capable, radiation-hardened isolated DC/DC converters for Jovian environments. The proposed converters achieve lower electromagnetic emission, better thermal management and higher efficiency. A new series of radiation-hardened isolated GaN gate driver circuit is proposed for space applications. Experimental results based on two prototype units implemented in the laboratory verify the performance of the proposed isolated converters.
