The approach in this research is qualitative. Data sources: principals, teachers and students. The results of this study indicate that (1) the implementation of academic supervision by the principal of a public high school in Ternate carried out simultaneously according to their functions and roles as supervisors. Activities carried out by school principals as supervisors include developing and strengthening teacher competency capacities within the scope of curriculum development, teaching and learning processes, solving teaching difficulties, teacher mediation in solving teacher and student problems in schools, (2) the obstacles are faced by the principals of  public high school in Ternate to implementing academic supervision is the limited time for the principal in escorting and fostering teachers during the implementation of learning in the classroom, limited school facilities and infrastructure . Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) the implementation of academic supervision of the principals of public high school in Ternate; (2) the obstacles are faced by the principals of public high school in Ternate in carrying out academic supervision and (3) the principals' have an efforts to overcome the obstacles in implementing academic supervision in Public High Schools in Ternate. 本研究旨在分析:(1)特纳特市公立高中校长学业督导的执行情况;(2)特纳特市公立高中校长在实施学业监督方面面临的障碍;(3)特纳特市公立高中校长在实施学业监督方面存在的障碍。本研究的方法是定性的。数据来源:校长、教师和学生。本研究结果表明:(1)特尔纳特某公立高中校长对学业督导的实施,是按照督导者的职能和角色同步进行的。校长作为督导所进行的活动包括在课程发展、教与学过程、解决教学困难、教师调解解决学校师生问题的范围内,发展和加强教师的胜任能力;(2)特尔纳特公立高中校长实施学业监督面临的障碍是校长在实施课堂学习过程中陪同和培养教师的时间有限,学校设施和基础设施有限。此外,部分教师不愿意接受监督,他们认为监督仍然被认为是为了揭露教师在履行职责时的弱点。(3)在Ternate公立高中校长实施学业监督的过程中,克服障碍的努力是为了进行学术强化,例如培训教师的专业能力和教学教师,以提高教育质量。
