Abstract

A decentralized PID controller design for TITO system combined with inverted decoupling is investigated by using a coefficient diagram method (CDM) when a case study of this control design is an application of Wood-Berry distillation column process and a FOPDT model of the process is considered. As given the CDM parameters, the decentralized PID controller parameters of the Wood-Berry distillation column combined inverted decoupler process can be determined and the proposed control system can regulate the process variables of TITO process. It can be concluded that the designed decentralized PID controller based on inverted decoupling showed a good performance to sustain the controlled variables.
