Abstract

Today, favoritism is frequently encountered in almost many organizations in the public and private sector. The reason for this is that individuals do not comply with ethical rules. Because especially managers should have internalized all these rules. Otherwise, people in management may come to the conclusion that their attitudes are very normal. In the system, ignoring the factors such as the abilities of individuals, their suitability for the job, and their qualifications paves the way for favoritism. A person who only separates his acquaintances is considered valuable by the people around him, while he is away from being professional. There are some relationship patterns such as cooperation, cooperation and solidarity in society. Nepotism also occurs naturally in this process. The low level of organizational awareness also causes favoritism. The fact that material income is more important than moral gain in this area causes the nepotism to increase in particular. Nepotism practices are less common in developed countries. It is possible to encounter nepotism, which is more common in underdeveloped and developing countries, in many areas in the public and private sectors. In Turkey, which has the status of a developing country, the system of favoritism has been encountered for many years and is perceived by the citizens as a disturbing, discriminatory attitude, and with some forms of corruption. It is not possible to talk about the principles of justice and equality where there is nepotism. It is possible to encounter some negative social consequences where there is no justice and equality. Keywords: Educational Institutions, Nepotism, Solution Suggestions
