Abstract
Pepper is attacked by numerous plant diseases caused by phytopathogenic fungi, bacteria and viruses, interfering normal growth and development, reducing the yield and quality of fruits. Among the mentioned groups of pathogens, phytopathogenic viruses reduce the yield of pepper every year. The most common and economically important, identified in Republic of Srpska, are: Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), Alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV), Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) and Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV).
