As an alternative, interventional radiology (IVR) has been increasingly used as a minimally invasive and rapid procedure for bleeding arterial lesions. The advan-tages of IVR with covered stents compared with surgery for VARA include a shorter procedure time, lower risk of postoperative peripheral tissue ischemia, and preservation of vascular access (VA), whereas disadvantages include the risk of infection and occlusion and the contraindica-tion of a puncture at the covered stent site. This report pre-sents the case of a patient with a VARA rupture who underwent IVR with a covered stent to preserve VA func-tion and achieved hemostatic efficacy.
