Here, we review the newfound importance of the ubiquitous KCNQ subfamily of voltage-gated potassium channels as targets for botanical medicines, including basil, capers, cilantro, lavender, fennel, chamomile, ginger, and <i>Camellia</i>, <i>Sophora</i>, and <i>Mallotus</i> species.
