Based on the delta operator bounded real lemma, a necessary and sufficient condition of D-stable Hinfin control for delta operator systems with actuator failure is presented using the matrix inequality approach. The design of H-infinity fault-tolerant controller with pole assignment is transformed into solving a Riccati inequality. The proposed results can be regarded as extensions of existing results on Hinfin control and pole assignment of fault-tolerant control systems using delta operator.
