Increasing Profits of a Battery System in the Private Sector by Providing a Decentralized Storage System for the Energy Market
This paper deals with the potentials of electricity storage in private sector unit for the supply of balancing power. Economic aspect is a primary focus. The results show that battery storages are technically well suited to offer primary control reserve. For primary control reserve it is economically unreasonable to participate in the announcements during the winter period. However, participation during the summer period can lead to a profit for the system operator.
