Even in places where dissemination seems to be under control, psychological suffering continues to affect people and communities continuously and increasingly. In this sense, mental health has become increasingly important. The purpose of contributing to the understanding of the psychological suffering emerging from the pandemic and its psycho-social developments motivated the study of creativity as a resource in the implementation of actions in the field of mental health. This essay discusses the ideas of Hannah Arendt, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi and Rollo May, confronting them with the writings of Victor Frankl, Fayga Ostrower and Cecil Helman. The results led us to believe that it is necessary to awaken to a creative proposal, and, as can be seen, one of the possibilities that are presented to face this reality, especially in the post-quarantine period is the development of creativity from the social interaction.
