Control system delays, in particular, have a negative impact on converter performance. This paper proposes effective designs of the proportional integral derivative and proportional resonant controllers for the two-level voltage source inverter (2L-VSI) in association with the LC filter. Both strategies include a design process for the voltage and current loops that considers the closed-loop transfer functions. The cross-over criterion is used to develop both control strategies while taking the needs of the application into consideration.
