The article is dedicated to the current situation of the light industry in Azerbaijan. The aim of the study is to assess the development of the light industry in Azerbaijan in the 21st century. The article uses the method of statistical and economic research. The scientific significance of the research is to study the development characteristics of the light industry sector in the context of the emergence of global markets. It should be noted that the state plays a leading role in solving problems in this area. It was also noted that the victorious war in Karabakh paved the way for the development of the light industry. Based on this, it can be concluded that there are favorable conditions for the development of the light industry in our country. The scientific novelty of the research is to assess the development characteristics of the country's light industry, as well as to conduct research on the activities of the field on certain indicators.
