Models and Algorithms for Quick Calculation of Electromechanical Transition Processes of Multi-Machine Electrotechnical Systems
For computer modeling of industrial power supply systems that differ in open or reducible structure with a large number of branches containing electric motors, an algorithm for calculating transients based on the method of convolution of circuits is proposed. Unlike the nodal voltages method, which is usually implemented using iterative procedures, the convolution method is implemented using the direct calculation procedure and does not cause a discrepancy between the calculated and initial data. The proposed method was applied in the SAD software package and tested in the calculation of modes and transients of industrial electrotechnical systems. To compare the results, an example of calculating the start-up process of an asynchronous drive of an electrical system using the SAD and ETAP software systems is given.
