The problem of determining the currents on the comb while scattering of electromagnetic waves was solved by the method of integral equations. Further, the theory of periodical structures was used. To account for the influence on the characteristics of the scattered field of the planar dielectric waveguide, parallel to the two-dimensional periodic pattern, the method of the generalized scattering matrix was applied.
