The conventional Boost PFC converter has a simple structure, but due to the semiconductor device used, conduction loss and switching loss occur and low efficiency can be obtained. The bridgeless type of boost PFC converter has a lower number of devices than a general boost PFC converter. Also, high efficiency can be achieved by reducing switching loss by using Critical Conduction Mode (CRM) modes of the PFC. A current sensor is required for CRM operation mode. A Study on the Current Sensorless Bridgeless CRM PFC Converter Based on LLC Resonant Converter
