The article deals with the equivalent courses for achieving military rank in the Slovak army forces. The aim of the article is to introduce the participation of Slovak soldiers in The Battalion Commander Course. It refers to the positives and negatives of the course in Israel. The main part of this course deals with the developing leadership of the commanders, the goal is to train and educate the commanders, to set a personal example and to prepare the commanders for the deployment in a large scale of operations.
