However, it is nontrivial to achieve good performance in different facets of metrics at the same time. In this paper, we present the performance of an Adaptive Scheduling MAC (AS-MAC) protocol with different Adaptive Scheduling period (AS-period) in multi-hop networks. AS-MAC achieves very good performance in energy-efficiency, end-to-end delay and packet delivery ratio (PDR) in different traffic loads, especially in the scenario of high traffic load.
