The proposed wideband SIW BPF that was designed and realized on an FR4 epoxy dielectric substrate implements CSRR structures on its SIW conductor surface and square DGS at the groundplane. Parametric study upon the characteristics of wideband SIW BPF without and with DGS is performed using simulation software to investigate the effect of its existence prior the hardware realization.
