The simulator development abides strictly to the 3GPP standards implementing the detailed transmission chain for several UTRA FDD traffic channels. Rake diversity combining is employed at the receiver. Performance improvement due to error correction coding scheme is also evaluated. The channel model used for simulation is based on the COST 259 model and provides realistic scenarios for radio propagation.
