An analysis of the symbolic connotations associated with one of the key figures of the country’s zoomorphic pantheon makes it possible to evidentiate the ambivalence of its essence, a vivid embodiment of the contradictory features of which is interpreted in different ways in culture and art. \nScope of the results. THE TIGER IMAGE IN VIETNAMESE FOLK WOODEN PRINTS AS A REFLECTION OF RELIGIOUS FAITHS OF COUNTRY POPULATION
The aim of research study is a revelation of the multi-layered image of the tiger in the spiritual and religious life of Vietnam, from local totem beliefs to world religions through explanations and illustrations of thematic wood prints of several centers.
Results.
