To measure the ability of students in speaking English in taking orders, the researchers observed the procedures that the students did not perform and measure the students’ competence of English language. Samples of this study are the fourth semester students in Hospitality courses Diploma Degree of Mataram Tourism Institute in Academic Year 2018/2019. The results of this study indicated that the level of completeness of the procedure in taking student orders in STP Mataram is in average. More than 50% students have conducted the appropriate procedure when taking orders in using English. From the result of data analysis in measuring the students’ competence in speaking English, the mean score is 78.90 with standard deviation is 12.14. From the result, it is converted and get score 3.1. 摘要

本研究的目的是分析学生在餐厅点餐过程中的英语口语能力。本研究是为了克服学生在听讲活动中遇到的问题而进行的。为了衡量学生在英语口语中的点菜能力,研究者通过观察学生没有执行的程序来衡量学生的英语语言能力。本研究的样本为马塔兰旅游学院2018/2019学年酒店管理课程文凭学位第四学期的学生。本研究结果显示,在STP Mataram接受学生订单的程序完整性水平为平均水平。超过50%的学生在使用英语点单时已经完成了适当的程序。从测量学生英语口语能力的数据分析结果来看,平均分为78.90分,标准差为12.14分。从结果中,它被转换并得到3.1分。结果显示,我校40名学生的英语能力均为良好。
