The influence of wearable devices on the body weight and physical exercise consciousness of college students
Objective: This paper is to explore the effects of wearable devices on the weight of college students and the influence of wearable devices on college students’ awareness of physical exercise. Method: 30 people in the intervention group wore keep sports bracelets, and students in the intervention group were required to complete 70,000 steps per week, and complete more than 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activities per week. A 12-week intervention experiment was conducted. Measure students' weight, body fat percentage, BMI, fat content, physical exercise attitude, and self-efficacy before and after the intervention. Results: The intervention group’s body weight increased by 0.08 kg, body fat rate increased by 0.13%, BMI increased by 0.06, and fat mass increased by 0.19kg. There was no statistical difference compared with the pre-intervention, but compared with the control group, the weight, BMI, The difference in fat mass changes between groups is statistically significant. Compared with the control group, the increase in awareness of physical exercise in the intervention group was statistically significant. Conclusion: Wearable devices are an effective means to control the weight and fat growth of college students; wearable devices can greatly improve students' awareness of physical exercise.
