When designing a speed controller, students must know the mathematical model of a motor with a torque generator and they will learn the basic principles of synthesizing the controller parameters. As a support tool for learning process, the simulated model of the speed servo drive and the graphical user interface were implemented in MATLAB. The tool makes it easy and fast to verify the properties of a speed servo drive and the students do not have to concern with implementing and tuning the simulation model.
