In this paper, the vernier magnetic gear is combined with a generator to produce a continuously variable speed vernier magnetic geared generator. Combining the generator with the gear has the advantage of making use of space harmonics that are not contributing to the operation in a useful way. Also, this way the overall amount of material may be reduced, as well as the overall losses.
