The images of female characters in TV dramas are gradually diversified, but there are still certain stereotypes about women. Based on the list of \"Annual Selected Works of Chinese TV Dramas\" published by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China from 2009 to 2018, 123 TV dramas were selected from 246 TV dramas, and 272 female characters appeared as the research objects. Through the four aspects of body appearance, inner character, ethical role, and professional identity, the content analysis of the female role image in TV dramas is carried out to obtain the characteristics of the female role image in Chinese TV dramas and the hidden problems in the construction of female images.
