The study shows the electricity use technical efficiency of China takes on upward tendency, but the overall level remains low; The technical efficiency and pure technical efficiency levels of electricity use decrease gradually from east to west as trapezoid; The pure technical efficiency of electricity use shows the shape of arc, firstly ascending and then descending; The rate of technological progress is the main reason restraining the rapid growth of electricity efficiency.
